Precision Joining Technologies, Inc. is a small business founded in 1997 dedicated to serving the welding/joining needs of industry. The company was formed as a result of the United States Department of Energy efforts to convert the former nuclear weapons Mound Facility site to commercial small businesses. Precision Joining Technologies is one over thirty small businesses located in the Mound Advanced Technology Center at the Mound Facility in Miamisburg, Ohio.
Since 1997, Precision Joining Technologies has had the opportunity to work with companies in the defense, aerospace, medical, plastic injection molding, machining, casting, airbag, calibration, pulp/paper, and custom instrumentation industries as well as research institutes and universities.

- Bachelor of Science in Welding Engineering from the Ohio State University.
- Masters of Science in Materials Science Engineering from the University of Dayton.
- Serves on the Peer Review Committee for technical articles submitted for publication in the American Welding Society monthly publication the “Welding Journal”.
- Author of section 10.3.6 “Microjoining with Nd:YAG Lasers” for the most recent edition of the Laser Institute of America Handbook on Laser Materials Processing.
- Over 36 years experience in the welding/joining industry and has published over 30 papers in that time frame.
